Shahla Siddiqi

An editor turned public relations professional, Shahla Siddiqi has more than 15 years of experience in business-to-business communications. Her rich and varied professional background includes public relations activities for heavy industry clients such as DuPont and BASF. In addition, she was an editor for 10 years at Motor Age and Industrial Safety and Hygiene News magazines.  Throughout her career in the fields of journalism and public relations, Shahla has honed her skills in writing, editing, strategic planning, event management, media relations and trade show activities.

Prior to joining Target, Shahla was at Dudnyk Advertising and Public Relations in Horsham, PA, where as member of the strategic marketing communications team she provided public relations strategy, counsel and media relations services to a wide client base which included several divisions of DuPont and BASF, Foamex International and Environmental Tectonics Corporation.

Earlier, at Deardorff Associates in Wilmington, DE, she worked on the DuPont Safety Resources, DuPont Protective Apparel and DuPont Sterile Packaging accounts where her media relations efforts played a critical role in raising brand awareness.

Shahla has a master’s degree in English Literature from Calcutta University, Calcutta, India, and a master’s degree in Journalism from Temple University, Philadelphia, PA. Her hobbies and interests include reading, art, traveling and theater.
