Bob Weber

Manager, Washington D.C. - Area Office

Bob Weber, with more then two decades of journalistic experience, manages the Washington, DC - area office for Target Communications.

An aficionado of all things computer related, Weber spent time as a system operator for an industry trade group, and is able to write/rewrite software documentation.

The former editor of several trade publications, Weber has written for Allstate Insurance, Consumer Guide, Consumer's Digest, Union Plus, Mature Outlook, and the Chicago Tribune for which he currently writes a weekly column. He also writes a column for an electronic magazine on the Internet.

Weber has won numerous awards for his technical writing from the Society for Technical Communication, and has addressed both consumer groups and trade groups.

Bob is the former Executive Director of Regulatory Affairs for a major Washington, DC trade group, and was Executive Director of a national education foundation where he forged a $2-million, five-year, cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Energy.

Bob is an ASE-certified Master Automobile Technician, having first certified in 1976 and has recertified every five years since. He has worked on automobiles, trucks and small engines. He is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and the SAE Service Technicians Society (STS), the International Motor Press Association (IMPA), the Washington Automotive Press Association (WAPA).
He is a charter member of the Midwest Automotive Media Association (MAMA), and a member of the Society of Automotive Historians (SOH). He currently chairs the Automotive Program Advisory Council for C.S. Monroe Technical Center in Leesburg, Va. He has a BA in Communications from Geneva College.

Additionally, Bob is an accomplished photographer. His hobbies include reading, cooking (including chili cookoffs), motorcycling and physical fitness.
